Standard Biography

Background & Vision

YannicK KOUNGA is an entrepreneur, operator, author, and the Founder and CEO of Africa Venture Group. Since 2016, he has been building a pan-African advisory, technology, and venture-building ecosystem designed to help African organizations structure, digitize, secure, and scale their operations.

His background combines finance, strategy, business development, and operational execution. After working in business control at Schlumberger, YannicK moved into entrepreneurship with a clear ambition: to build solutions suited to African realities and turn local constraints into sources of innovation. Under his leadership, Africa Venture Group has developed initiatives spanning enterprise communications, digital marketing, document management, cybersecurity, professional services, and business growth.

YannicK is also the founder and principal voice of African Business Revolution, a bilingual media, editorial, and learning platform focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, strategy, execution, and growth in Africa. Through the platform, he turns field experience, mistakes, lessons, and conversations with leaders into practical content for entrepreneurs, founders, executives, operators, and members of the African diaspora.

His work is grounded in a pan-African vision, with operations anchored in Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire and a growing focus on Central and West Africa. He believes that entrepreneurial success should create opportunities for others and contribute to stronger institutions and more resilient businesses. He combines strategic ambition with disciplined execution, long-term partnerships, service quality, and a commitment to building solutions that remain useful, affordable, and scalable for organizations operating in complex markets. His personal operating philosophy can be summarized in three actions: believe, act, and adjust.
